Hi, I’m Áine, and I’m so glad you’re here.
I’ve always been a naturally curious person, especially when it comes to understanding why we feel the way we do. That curiosity has shaped so much of my own journey and, over the years, has become a huge part of the work I do.
I’m fascinated by the connection between our mind and body — how the way we breathe, eat, think, feel and live all influence one another. And I love finding simple, practical ways to bring those pieces together to help us feel calmer, healthier, more energised and better able to enjoy our everyday lives.
Breathe - Listen - Nourish - Reconnect.
Those simple words reflect my whole philosophy:
Breathe
Create a little more calm in your mind and body.
Listen
Get curious about what your body is telling you.
Nourish
With good food, movement, rest and compassion.
Reconnect
Let go of perfection, trust yourself more and start feeling more like you again.
Long before I trained as a Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist, Breathwork Coach, Chef and Transformational Coach, I was asking questions. Why do some people thrive while others struggle? Why can two people experience the same challenge yet respond so differently? And perhaps the biggest question of all...
What is your body trying to tell you?
That curiosity became deeply personal. For many years, I struggled with my own health issues. Nearly 20 years ago, I was struggling with unexplained breathing complications that appeared suddenly and went on for over 5 years. I remember a consultant asking me to let her know if I ever discovered the answer because she had run out of ideas how to help me after years of trying. It was so disheartening. In the end, I thanked her for her help, discharged myself from her care and went in search of the answers myself. I remember feeling so lost but it also became the beginning of a very different journey for me.
In 2017, I developed horrendous facial and body skin rashes for nearly 8 years which severely affected my mental health and self-confidence. I tried absolutely everything but still my symptoms returned. Each time, even more severe with no specific cause that I could find. I knew something wasn't right, yet every test came back "normal." Time after time I was told there was no explanation for the symptoms I was experiencing. My blood tests showed everything as normal, yet the rash and pain became more and more severe. I was at a total loss and so were the experts. Here I was with so much knowledge and resources for helping clients in my day to day work yet I couldn't even help myself. I knew then that I had to find a different way to help myself and it wouldn't be the conventional route.
Instead of "What's wrong with me, why does this keep happening?" I began asking, "What is my body trying to tell me?" That one question changed everything. I started gently listening to my body and stopped fighting it! This was like a eureka moment for me. I came out of my head and really connected with my body.
I deepened my connection with breathwork, explored nutrition in greater depth, immersed myself in herbalism and lifestyle medicine and began to understand the remarkable intelligence of the human body and, in particular, heart intelligence. I accepted that symptoms are not something to be feared. They are invitations to pause, to become curious and to listen. They are simply our body's method of communication to tell us when we are out of balance. It wasn't always an easy path and there were plenty of tears, moments of frustration and times when I doubted I'd ever feel well again. Here I was as a health practitioner who was falling apart but what it gave me was a huge amount of understanding and compassion for my clients and their own individual stories.
Every step taught me something that I now bring to the people I work with. Helping them understand the message that their body has been trying to communicate. Supporting them with practical, sustainable tools that help them feel calmer, healthier, more energised and more resilient to life's challenges. I believe there is no single magic solution to good health but the first step is listening to our body and the ability to self-regulate our emotions to respond to what is happening in the moment.
Good health grows from the way we breathe, eat, move, think, rest, connect and care for ourselves every single day. That's why my work brings together nutritional therapy, breathwork, mindfulness, herbal medicine, lifestyle medicine and transformational coaching. Not because one approach has all the answers, but because every person is unique and usually, change occurs using a combination of different things.
My clients often tell me they arrive at my door feeling exhausted, overwhelmed or stuck in their lives. Many have spent years searching for answers. What they usually discover isn't another complicated plan. Instead they discover themselves again. They reconnect with their inner sense of calm. They reconnect with their own inner confidence and they reconnect with hope. And slowly, they begin to trust their body once more and learn to love it. And that is where the real magic begins.
Everyone who knows me knows I am a really excitable and enthusiastic person by nature and nothing brings me greater joy than watching someone realise they are far more capable than they ever believed possible. If any my story resonates with you, I'd be delighted to work with you.
I believe your body has been speaking to you all along. My role is simply to help you slow down...
to breathe...
to listen...
to nourish...
and, ultimately, to reconnect to yourself and who you truly are.
